Laureate International Universities

Graphic Identity

The distinctive sign designed for the US company Laureate is a vibrant orange-coloured bay leaf, containing the letter L. This symbol is reminiscent of the laurel wreath as an icon of success or excellence. The group needed to introduce a distinctive sign that would represent it and would gradually be accepted by all of its universities; hence, the complexity of the project centred on the coexistence of the new sign with each university’s already existing graphic image. Before reaching this solution, a strategy was developed that would serve to verify different brand architectures and subsequent levels of deployment of the new identity.

Estrada Design is the author of the brand design and the User Manual, as well as their adaptations for all the universities in the network.
