The typographic portrait of Cervantes was created by Estrada Design to commemorate 14 years of the Miguel de Cervantes Literature Award, one of the most prestigious international literary accolades. These awards are regarded as the utmost recognition of the creative efforts of Spanish and Latin American writers whose work has contributed to significantly enriching literary heritage in the Spanish language.<\/p>\n

The image draws the face of Miguel de Cervantes using the letters of his surname with a visual order and hierarchy that make it easy to read. The logo won the European Arts Directors Club award.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Culture of Spain published a book bearing this image on the cover that contained the speeches of each of the winning writers of the Cervantes Award between the years 1976 and 1994.<\/span><\/p>\n
