For the first time in 2004, the Christmas lights that decorated Madrid were unlike any in the past. The City Council invited a variety of artists and designers to offer their proposals for certain sections of the city.<\/p>\n

2004 was the year of the terrorist attacks at Atocha train station.<\/p>\n

Estrada Design designed a roof of typographic lights from La Cibeles to La Puerta de Alcal\u00e1 formed of thousands of letters that wrote the word \u2018peace\u2019 in the most ecumenical way possible: in 35 different languages.<\/p>\n
