Universal Spaniard award 2021
Felipe González, former Spanish prime minister, received in December 2021 the Universal Spaniard Award, presented every year by the Independent Foundation.
Estrada Design designed the logo for the award ceremony and is working on a book about the figure of the former prime minister.
The award ceremony and dinner, held in the old Madrid Casino, brought together 250 people who followed speeches by Aldo Olcese, chairman of the Independent Foundation; Juan Manuel Santos, former president of Colombia; Isabel Rodríguez, government spokesperson; Ricardo Lagos, former president of Chile; Romano Prodi, former president of the European Commission; Pedro Sánchez, Spanish prime minister, and Felipe González himself.
Este libro, editado por la Fundación Independiente está dedicado a la figura de Felipe González, presidente del Gobierno de España desde 1982 hasta el 1996, con motivo de su elección como ‘Español Universal’ 2021.
Four red, orange and grey pieces drawing the F and G of his name served to create a graphic atmosphere and the backdrop of the stage used for the speeches.

The visual identity of the Repsol Foundation is articulated around a symbol formed of human silhouettes in Repsol’s corporate colours that draw the world and express the idea that people are energy.
Estrada Design also designed the Foundation’s annual publications and website, combining bold graphics with the institutional colours and introducing, in black and white and colour, photographs of people, the invariable target of the projects driven and sponsored by the Foundation.

Alianza Editorial Classics
Estrada Design produced the covers for the Alianza Editorial Classics Collection. The typeface, processed like an image, creates its own contemporary language that contrasts with the longevity of the works.
The Alianza Editorial Classics Collection is one of the most comprehensive selections of great Greek and Roman titles published in Spanish.

Estrada Design designed the cover of A Natural History of Curiosity by Alberto Manguel: a history of human knowledge from the viewpoint of an insatiable traveller, reader and author.
In the opinion of Alberto Manguel, curiosity is the constant driving force behind a journey that begins in early infancy and is seemingly never ending. It is what opens the eyes of our imagination, leads us down unknown paths and inevitably drives us to ask new questions.
